Jury is still out. Also husband has put a kibosh on my chicken math for the time being.
Why did you choose this breed?
They were inexpensive 4 month olds and I needed a bigger flock for my cockerels.
Why do you like this breed?
I like that they are gentle and willing to be held. I think they will make me more brave when it comes to handling my flock. I have been afraid of hurting my girls which makes picking them up hard.

Yes, they are actually one of my only breeds that aren't as fragile. They are well rough and strongly tumble!

I didn't go for the Buff Brahma since I was getting a Buff Orph chick in the mix of the 3, They are great birds.. The Mister called it Betty for Betty "White" lol yeah silly... She's in my profile pic with my Munchkin in the coop run...Stunning girl, I prefer full blood Brahmas though, not really interested in mixes.

Ha ha, that's a cute name! It suits the breed! She is beautiful!! Very nice picture.

Thanks for the form! Very great choices. I agree, I really want some of the other colors someday. I am very happy with Buff. I like the pyle's, but really hard to find!

How many do you have? 5 (So far ) 4 Light brahmas and one Jersey Giant brahma mix thats all black called ' Big Bertha '
How many do you want? Been working on breeding them so a dozen or so.
Why did you choose this breed? Mainly for their coloring and broodiness (Though none have gone broody yet.. My JGs beat them to it though)
Why do you like this breed? Even though they haven't went broody they're the first ones to great me in the morning. I just love how they run up to you, They look so chubby and adorable when they run! Very very sweet birds. If i were to sit down next to them they'll complain until i let them on my lap and give them snuggles. I love my Brahmas and plan on getting more this spring!

My favorites are the Buff Bantams.

I like them too! If you want a Brahma but you think they'll be too big... I would suggest the bantam.
