I know exactly what you are saying! I am sure that impressed the girls! LOL. Until I got my Runner drake I had never seen that behavior. Muscovys don’t do that.
The first time they started doing it was hilarious to me because I had no idea what they were doing! They do it a lot when they get excited, but today was the first day it seemed like they were trying to impress the girls!
 
Of course the girls are getting older!
They have started to get bolder too. When one of the boys runs one of the girls away from the food, they will just come back and nip him really quick! They have also started to run their chins up my arm sometimes. So maybe they are starting to get the idea!

The coolest thing happened this morning! A pair of mallards (?) swam up in the lake, heard my ducks, and the male flew up to check them out. They were very interested! Is it normal for male mallards to be in eclipse this time of year? I am pretty certain it was a male because he had green spots on his head and the duck that stayed in the lake had 100% female coloring.
