They may do okay with the big pool as long as they have a way out, getting tired out is when things can go wrong. and make sure what ever you decide to use to help them get out they can't get caught under especially if one of the adults was standing on top of it. Some use bricks or blocks at the edge for them to climb onto and out, outside same way. I had a small cat litter tray set up for mom and 4 ducklings with a short ramp for inside and never thought this could happen one got caught under neathe and drowned, all I can think of is mom was standing on top and it penned the duckling under where it couldn't get it's head above water, broke my heart. it's amazing how high these lil things can jump. lol I'm sure they can swim well so maybe try filling the small one with ramp and see how they do with that for a few days before moving to bigger and better. again making sure they will be safe.
ill try the big pool today and watch them. I'm gonna put the ramp that's in their small pool that they are using right now in the big pool since they having been using that ramp since day one and are use to it. Bc I can easily put a brick in that shallow pool for them to get in and out just fine bc it's not deep at all. I plan on keeping both pools out. Thanks
