How old are they, I'm thinking too young yet but you know how those girls are when they have something to say.

so true! The black one is right at 3 weeks old, I believe you said that they might start quacking at 4-5 weeks, could have been someone else tho. I don't know but it's voice/noises is def changing. Heard it again when I went out to check water, not the trying to quack noise but half peep half deep sounding. Lol best I can explain it!! The other 2 are still just peeping

Well maybe your hearing something since they are getting close to the 4 week mark. Keep an ear peeled.

Oh I am! Got the hatching excitement over with. And let the who is what excitement begin! I'm hoping for at least 2 girls so I can get more eggs.

I've read rouen females would have black bills but not males. Pekins do not have black bills. This is the one I said tries to quack. I know it's a mix of both breeds, but ya think it's a good chance of being a female due to the black on bill??? Lol the suspense is killing me

My male Rouen had a green bill the females have a mostly black bill with orange around the edges.

Well it's mixed with Pekin and I know nothing about mixed breeds. So wasn't sure if the bill coloring still applies since its a mix even tho Pekins do not have black bills. Sorry if that just sounds stupid lol

Not at all stupid...
My Rouen cross blue Swedish hen has a solid grey bill... The cross drake has a green bill... I have no idea how it all works.

I think if your baby is already trying to quack it very well maybe a female, seems the drakelets peep alot longer. It appears be that way in Muscovy's anyway, and my goodness have they grown. so precious.

Yeah just gonna say it's a girl to shut myself up. Woop it's a girl! Haha. Yes they are growing like weeds. Starting to get feathers in too
