The Bunny Chat Thread - For Bunny Owners

any rabbit owners out there that have advice on clipping rabbit nails? My bunny hates getting picked up and probably won't tolerate nail trimming either
Set your phone face down and turn the flashlight on so you can see what your doing. Keep your bunny calm by gently petting him/her and give him/her little bits of treats. It would work best to have one person trim the nails while the other holds the bunny and calms him/her down.
Some bunnies feel more relaxed on someone's lap, while others would rather lay on a table or chair.
You could also try wrapping him/her in a burrito like others have suggested

Ooh, my sympathies. Carhart jacket, welding gloves (maybe, they might spook it) and put them on their back on your lap. Two people are pretty much are requirement.
If you can get the rabbit out of the cage with its head tucked into your arm, that helps. Easier said than done though. What kind of rabbit?
Holland lop, though she is unusually large. She's very hard to catch though

I'm not sure about a way to keep them out the house other than fly screens but I do know a way to stop them biting you. Take vitamin B1 and they'll quit.
Thank you for the tips! Although I am looking for ways to mainly keep the mosquitoes off my rabbits, who live outside away from the house.
There is a geranium that repels them, several types of herbs and the Shoo Fly plant. No, really, that is its name 🤣
Pennyroyal, rosemary and sage are some herbs that are supposed to be good at repelling insects, I hear. Do NOT ingest pennyroyal. Its toxic and builds up in your system. It smells great, but looks exactly like mint. I wasn't aware of this and since it is in the mint family I thought it would be good to plant them together. Now I cant use my mint 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣
The shoo fly plant?? 😆 lol, thank you for letting me know about that and the others! And thanks for the warning about pennyroyal, too.

I'll have to look into getting some plants, and I'm also going to try the pinesol spray--I was looking it up and apparently it's something that does keep both mosquitoes and flies down, and a lot of people use it. I know I saw it worked well at the barn, so hey, why not try aha. I'm ready to do anything to keep those pesky bugs down! Plus it'll be nice to know what works or not when we get our chickens soon. (our county recently okayed for people to have chickens, yay!)

Hi All,

I am upgrading a bit by starting a website for selling my rabbits and hobby farm related things. I would cherish any feedback! I am looking for constructive criticism and thoughts about what you like about the site. As the things I have for sale change rapidly, I am trying to keep this site up to date by not posting exact items, but by being a place where people can see what I normally have and then email me. Check it out and let me know your thoughts!

Thanks!

Looks good!
Couple of questions:
- do you have your animals vet checked before sale? Obviously they're healthy, but most people will say an animal theyre selling is. What if someone questions you?
- how was it creating your website? Is it costly? I’ve looked into it, but got confused pretty quick.
- how did you get your rabbits pedigreed? I would like to do that with mine. I know the general steps, but have never done it with any of ours.
- is that the going rate for a holland lop in your area? It sounds high to me
