THE BYC TRAVELING MASCOTS

I have dropped alot of people off the lists already!! Often at the expense of making some really upset, sorry for that!! I look to see when they have last posted and if it's been months I skip or drop them or if I send them a pm and get no repsonse I skip them...I think I will try to come up with some more ideas for easier mailing mascots, like the flat stanley idea maybe...what do ya'll think? In addition to that, I would like to collect the mascots that are out and re-organize their travels....I'll work on a list of exactly who has which one and maybe we can re-org. the whole process. I think an easier mailer may help though, a flat chicken idea...maybe I can get Cetawin or Guitarists to draw one or two?!

Other ideas ya'll?

I understand why the flat chicken would be more practical, but it's so much cooler to see people holding a stuffed chicken/duck. The adventures just wouldnt be the same. Maybe a flat mascott along with the regular ones ? But then again, it would just be another mascot to get lost. And a flat one would get lost faster ( picture flat chickie blowing off the top of the mountain)
Well, the good thing is- at the rate it is going, I MIGHT have Pippi in time for her to help me put up my Christmas tree next year!!! And bake cookies!!

Seriously considering just closing the thread and letting the Mascot idea rest awhile and maybe become more attractive to folks later in the year ... maybe money will be better then too...would like to get the ones that have been traveling back though, they have alot of good BYC history, journals people signed and goodies they added, maybe we can have some contests on the forum to win them..IF I CAN GET THEM BACK PLEASE?!!! We can start some new ones maybe in the fall? Can the folks that have them send them back to me please????

I totally agree with those that are still waiting for a mascot to show up at their door. They have been anxiously awaiting them since the very beginning. The problem is those that got the mascot, and grew bored of the concept. If ya dont like it, dont want to take part in it... send it on it's way! Quit acting like little spoiled children that refuse to share the toys! Grow up, get over yourself, and move the ding dang toy on its way! The childishness needs to stop.

Scrambled egg put so much time into all this. *pouty face* I don't want a flatty- I want a fuzzy ! I had plans- to take it to Assateague to see the wild horses. And to Ocean City to play on the boardwalk and fly a kite. And to protest outside the chicken plant!
But anyway, I can understand the frustration of people not playing nice. It would really stink to have to close the thread, and give up on the whole thing. But I would support Scrambled Egg in whatever she decides. ( us mousketeers have to stick together)

Since the regular mascots seem to be MIA I thought I'd give a really short update on Popper. He's been quite lazy this winter and hasn't been involved in any outside activities. That will have to change as the weather gets warmer... I need his help when it's time to clean out the chicken coop and goat stalls!

Anyway - here's the biggest excitement that's happened around here in months...

The chicks are EEs, RIR, Australorp and Barred Rock... ALL PULLETS! (If I say that loud enough it should be true... right?

)

I can understand everyone's frustration about lack of news from our mascots. Hope the thread does'nt close, I too am looking forward to getting a mascot at my door one day! Lots of plans!

Wish those folks who are hosting would just post a note even if it's to say their mascot is hibernating!

If I have to send Postage to get Pippi I will as I had offered to do anyway I feel that if the person really really wants to host the Mascot should go ahead and pay the postage to get it. I know it was setup that the host was to post to forward the Mascot on. But I don't mind paying round trip fare.

A flat chicken or deflated duck just wouldn't be the same.

SE you had such a wonderful idea here and have worked hard to have it going and others have pitched in also just so the fun won't end.

I really don't want to see all that just be gone.....

Can we just give it one more big shot in the arm gang??

YA ALL BEST JUST GET A STIFF UPPER LIP AND WORK UP AND COME CLEAN!!!!! Just tell us all what the hold up is and move the Mascots Forward Please or at least PM the next one on the list and give them the chance to get the Mascot moving....
