The carbon tax

Shall we discuss the in-fighting and women stealing that occurred between tribes, the raiding parties on peaceful tribes by other tribes or the torture methods used... we all have skeletons in our closets. Petroglyphs do not lie.

besides the whole mass genocide thing. and the slavery, oh and the giving his men children for their pleasure as a reward.

Only partially true. Still, it is depressing, though people like Dunkopf welcome it. The fact that most people only get their information from talking heads on TV is really not helping. There are so many factors that contribute to the zombification of Americans that I can't really pinpoint any one as the biggest. People are getting less and less responsible and expect others to take care of them and think for them. Not conducive to a variety of cultures when everyone listens to the same talking heads.

Like others Q, I find you hard to take seriously too. Please don't assume what I welcome and what I don't.

So why are you having problems with Q ? I wish all the younger generation was like Q and had a clue what was going on. Most youth now a days are so worried about the next video game or smart phone or partying.

Just because you are older does not mean your smarter yes you have more life experiences but I think Q could run circles around most of us on many subjects.

So stop dimissing his stuff as sarcasm. I find most of your stuff you write as sarcasm and your condescending.

Anyways carry on.

Actually I have toned down the sarcasm quite a bit. Q has read a few books and thinks he knows all about life. He still sees things in black and white and has a long way to go before he really knows anything. To tell you the truth I think Q can speak for himself. There's a real big difference between reading a book and experiencing life. There's a reason why people are taught to respect their elders. It's not just southern manners.

The whole melting of the ice is a bit more different then most people think.
If The icebergs melt is doesn't make a different to the sea level, like ice cubes in a glass of water. The issue is the ice on the land of Antarctica (all 14,000,000 sq km of it) and Greenland, the ice caps and glaciers. There are a few issues with that.
First is the rising sea levels. And with the melting as fast as is is ( so many million gallons a day).
The second is the temperature. Antarctica and Greenland reflect light back into space, reflecting the heat. So if all the ice is gone and the ground is dark then it is absorbing the heat therefore making the earth hotter.
there is also an insane amount of gas locked in the ice in Greenland (mainly) if the ice melts then the gas will be let out going into the atmosphere. there is actually a documentary I watched where this guy poked a whole in ice then waved a lighter over it. It made a small explosion which pushed him over with the force. It continued to burn for quite a while.
Just a little bit more information to think about

There is also a thing called evaporation rate and it trends in el nino amd la nino years and has an effect on the sea level minimal but an effect. We are still learning about this planet and in another 20 years we most likely will think something different than today.

I liked that movie, very interesting concept.

I actually found it rather interesting that one of the main characters (his name evades me) chose to return to sea even after land had been found.

Kevin Costner, He filmed a movie near here, stopped at a neighbors to look at some unusual deer horns on his way through town, my wife wanted to hang all my deer horns on our fence.
