The carbon tax

That is what makes this country so great that we are not like all the other countries but then we have people like you that want us to be like the countries are ancestor left.

Why do so many people still want to come here ? let me guess are freedoms

Translation: not descending as rapidly. To all those who are in favor of a one-world government, you're going to have a BIG war on your hand, and endless rebellion post-war. You hear me, Dunkopf? The UN is a useless piece of trash that serves no purpose except to allow foreigners to try to govern us. You really think most of us want a guy halfway across the world having a say in how we do things? We fought a war over that a couple hundred years ago, you know. King George figured out the hard way that people typically prefer to govern themselves.

I actually find that globalizing corporations has led to a greater loss of freedoms and culture. I can't remember that quote about Coke reaching far wider than any a-bomb. What is it they say though? Corporations, not countries anymore. XD. Monoculture is utterly depressing to me, but I find the US has welcomed it more than they have perhaps realized.

besides the whole mass genocide thing. and the slavery, oh and the giving his men children for their pleasure as a reward.

Only partially true. Still, it is depressing, though people like Dunkopf welcome it. The fact that most people only get their information from talking heads on TV is really not helping. There are so many factors that contribute to the zombification of Americans that I can't really pinpoint any one as the biggest. People are getting less and less responsible and expect others to take care of them and think for them. Not conducive to a variety of cultures when everyone listens to the same talking heads.

Genocide? I know he had serious moral issues with his treatment of the natives, but I've never heard claims of genocide before. Enslavement, though, was definitely an issue. Can we say "moral hypocrisy?" The man goes about spouting Scripture and then proceeds to violate it while still quoting it.

genocide depends on one's causes for mass slaughter but under his leadership more people died in two years than Hitler killed in two years and Hitler had better technology in mass slaughter.

I agree with you on that. There is a song about an event of native genocide and one of the lines go " You can hear the devil singing from his white house on the hill, god bless america in god we trust amen" The song points out how many people do horrible things and yet claim to be religious.

I know good Christians who are kind and compassionate. These gentle and loving people are good examples of Christianity IMO.

As usual you misinterpreted what I was saying. Our country is part of a planet called Earth. There are many other countries on this planet. The USA is not the only country and we are not better than all other countries on the Earth. We are indeed better than many countries. Our location and natural resources have a lot to do with that. If you think other countries don't have hard working people like us think again. We are not some special chosen country that some mythic guy bestowed special status on. That's all I'm saying. I'm proud to be an American and I'm very happy I was fortunate enough to be born here and have the opportunities that so many other people in the world don't have.

The UN doesn't and never has controlled the USA. Just more garbage perpetrated by those extreme websites that you never read. BTW I don't want a one world government. Economically that is what's happening though. It's evolution and it's inevitable. All the corporations in the USA are for the most part global. The only reason they base themselves in the USA is because we have the biggest market and they save on import fees and receive subsidies for doing so.

We joined the United Nations to work together with other countries in an attempt to keep harmony amongst other countries that share this Earth with us. Isolationism is not going to work. We rely too much on other countries to be isolationists. As a matter of fact I believe we were instrumental in creating the United nations.

Wake up and smell the roses. Things will be much different here when you get to be my age. I'll be tottering around looking for someone to change my diapers or sitting in an urn somewhere. Your generation is going to have to live with this mess.

Like others Q, I find you hard to take seriously too. Please don't assume what I welcome and what I don't.
