I am a cat person. :) It's dogs I don't like. :(
We've always had rescues ~ & they are as protective as any dog if they think I'm being threatened.
I love my boys to bits!
My present 2 are bonded Ragdoll X brothers.
This is Marlow.

And his brother, Kirby.
Kirby did think about a free chicken dinner when the girls first arrived but my BR soon convinced him to think again!:lau

There are some seriously gorgeous cats on this thread.

I'm not, absolutely NOT a cat person, but my husband rescued Boo. Literally rescued her right out of one of our dog's mouth.
She was younger than we thought at first and I had to feed her formula for two weeks. Now SHE is attached to me. I've tried to rehome her. Really. Really I have
We've had her for two months and she is expensive!
Shots, worming, de-fleaing, and next month spaying. Also litter & the box, feed, and toys. And the indoor tree.
And speaking of trees, I had to hire someone to climb a 40 foot tree and rescue her when she was playing outside last month. She spent about 30 hrs in the tree before we got her down. So, you see, I can't make her an outdoor cat because she just isn't cut out for outdoor life. Lol.

She is gorgeous!

I currently have 3 cats - Tigger (aka Tiggs, 11 1/2 yrs. old, orange tabby), Leo (5 yrs. old, white with orange spots), and Samantha (Sammie, 6 1/2 yrs. old, dilute tortie). I’ve had Tiggs and Leo since they were kittens, and adopted Sammie in March, 2018 after my elderly soul kitty, Scooter, passed. Sammie was morbidly obese at the time of adoption, and is still obese, but less so than before. Leo is asthmatic. Tiggs had a urinary blockage once, but is otherwise perfection. Since having pets at home is not enough, I also spend all day with other people’s cats (and dogs) as a vet tech. Animals are my life!

This is my kitten Sweetie, we got her upstate for my grandmother and she ended up not wanting her. We were on vacation when we picked her out of the litter of kittens and she went missing the day we were leaving. We searched for hours and were about to give up and we found her about 200 yards away from the porch. Her momma hid her from us. I think she knew we wanted her. Sweetie acts more like a dog then a cat, she comes to you when you call, loves playing fetch. She will always have a place in our family.View attachment 1983848
