The process of "thinking about building a coop" to "building a coop" only lasted 3 days. We have "broke ground" lol!

I am building a 6ft x 7ft coop with a run approx. 10ft x 6ft. After "weekend #1" we have a base! I underestimated the complexity of getting the base "square". I was off by about 3 inches so I just squared it up with the plywood sheeting. I'll have some "filler" to do later but at least my walls will be "square".

You'll have to be sure to predator-proof the heck out of that coop in that location for sure.

How many chickens are you planning to have (planning being the operative word!)?
Keep us posted!

Thanks! Yeah, we have pretty much all of your "common Chicken getters" out here. Raccoons, Coyotes, Hawks, etc.

I'm "planning" on starting with 4 but I think I can go up to about 10 chickens with this size? ( 4sqft per chicken, 7ftx6ft = 42sqft/4 = 10ish???
