Chesterton will grow back a beautiful tail and be better than it was. :yesss:
My boys molt hard like that, too, and it always comes back more beautiful than ever ... but their timing stinks!
If there's any such thing as a show-molting gene, I'm convinced that my birds carry it. The problem we have is that the whole flock looks great for our County Fair in July, then they go into a hard molt about three weeks later ... just in time to be bald for the State Fair! We had a BIS rooster at the County Fair in 2018, and ended up staying home from State because, between six roosters, we had only two tail feathers - one each on two different fellas. One was a solo sickle feather, so we know that at least one bird TRIED to stick with the program!

Awh man, I just read this whole thread, then noticed no new posts since October! D;
This is a great thread and the reason I started mine. @Dona Worry has dropped off in her postings in the last year. You are definately welcome over at Fluffy Butt Acres if you are looking for a group to hang with.

I was so pumped when this thread showed a new post. I thought it was her. :(

Some long overdue pictures!
The coop isn't the same without Nardole, but life goes on. Some of you might recall Cookie, aka Boob Egg. Well, she is laying perfect little olive eggs now!

I have two handsome boys from the summer hatch, I am keeping Demon, and will be giving Captain Jack to my cousin this spring.
I plan to build up my polish flock more this spring, and may even get another polish rooster.

It is so nice to see the flock again. Handsome roosters for sure. Is everyone still living inside with no free range? I'm so glad that the flock looks well. My wife is now polish obsessed. I guess I will have to add them next time we get more.

Currently we are in a nasty cold snap, so no outdoors for now. I've let them have some supervised outdoor time in the mold weather we had in December and earlier this month.

The best pictures anywhere have always been of your flock free ranging. I would love to see them again.

Here is a picture of my Aurora out in the deep leaves using her coloring for camouflage.
