The Cluck 'n Quack: Stories of our birds

The reason I brought up Macaulay is this:
I was looking through some chicken breed photos in the handy lil search feature that BYC has. However, I was disappointed because many breeds came up that I didn’t even search for or were just related to the breed I looked up. Here’s an example:

I’m not looking for Light Brahmas or Dark Brahmas or Brahma mixes or birds mis-identified as Brahmas or Birds accidentally tagged as Brahmas, I am looking for BUFF BRAHMAS.

That’s when I got my Idea.
Why not make a database of photos for poultry breeds like The Macaulay Library has for wild birds? I think that would be really fantastic, especially if some things similar to Macaulay could be implemented, like the rating system or reporting mis-identifications.

I wonder if anybody else thinks this would be an awesome idea? Tell me if you do!
That is an awesome idea, would it be possible to turn it into a school project? (I can’t remember wether you are homeschooled or regular schooled but creating your own website looks pretty good on a resume).
@The-White-Elephant is the computer expert, Maybe he can help.
I will warn you, it sounds like a lot of work, but it is a great idea!

Oh, I know! I really don’t know how I’d do something like that myself, but I could try! It would be a MASSIVE project, but yeah, maybe Whitey could help me!

you could also suggest your idea to some of the BYC staff/Nifty Chicken To see if they have any advice since they made BYC
Should I tag them here, or should I write up a lengthy PM explaining all this and asking their opinion? Also who exactly should I tag?
