Could the coops be sorted into subcategories underneath the main Small/Medium/Large categories? Maybe a category for "starting from scratch" and one for "re-purposed structure"?

@sumi and I have talked about that, but it starts to get tricky. We're thinking we'd like to instead create a few Index Articles with links to coops that fit within a certain "type" that isn't based on size. For example all sizes of coops that are from recycled materials, or that are non-traditional. Like a UFO coop, or Car coop, both of which are in different size categories.

Hmm... actually, we probably should have thought about this in advance and requested that peeps keep an eye out for coops of certain types to add to these indexes.

I guess maybe it's not too late? @sumi are there some categories of coops we should be looking for while rating? Anybody else have other ideas of "groups" of types of coops?

I think this could be something we can look into after the ratings. I have been looking for unusual coops lately and didn't find an awful lot of them, so I don't know if there is enough to warrant their own category.

Pallet coops. there are a lot of those. There are less that are reclaimed or recycled coops.

Another category is hoop coops

I have been looking for unusual coops lately and didn't find an awful lot of them, so I don't know if there is enough to warrant their own category.

If we do decide to create another category or two, we should be able to find them with keyword searches.

Oh, there might not be very many of them but I definitely think it's a good idea to have another category (or more) anyway. Wading through pages of hundreds of coops can get overwhelming *edit* and having some more smaller categories would be nice -maybe easier to browse through.
