~The Council Of Youngers of BYC! (COY)~

Well, his daddy has a pretty big comb, too and he's a bantam.

Checkers, my OEGB bantam.

I think maybe you're referring to dubbed bantams. A lot of people dub their bantams' combs which makes them seem like they're really small, but in reality they've just been cut off. :( I hate it when people dub their roosters. :rant

Let me just get this clear for everyone because I feel kinda bad. There is nothing wrong with newbies! I love newbies and oldies alike!

It's just different because the oldies remember the old times when BYC was different so there's a different connection. I have nothing against newbies, or squirrels for that matter, @Gerbil .

@ilovemysilkie , yes you would be considered a newbie but there's nothing wrong with that.

Wow, he's handsome!
Yeah I know what dubbing is. Your OEGB X has taken the Silkie comb but it's real big because of his fathers comb, right!
Yeah, they used to dub them for the pit game and all fighting cockerels so that they didn't die off blood loss. Still really cruel though. Sometimes dubbing is necessary though, if the comb gets hurt or other reasons.

It's more than SNAZZY. I'm sure you could have a epileptic fit over that.lol.

Does anyone know if there is no liking posts in the Games Jokes and Fun section? I wanted to like a post but it looks like I can't.

Yeah, I can't seem to like on this thread. I will check on another one. Perhaps they are doing sneaky maintenance.

It's a bit of a generalization to say that all dubbing is cruel. When you live in a place that drops to extreme subzero temps like where I live, in some instances it's actually cruel to not dub your rooster's combs, because they can get frostbite.

Yes, It does.

Pretty good. The new year seems to be a bit busy but going slowly, though. How are you doing? :p

Busy as always! And recovering....
My entire family came down with the flu, thanks to my brother.... :smack
We thought it was just a cold for a while, but it wasn't. No.

So that's where your post had gotten to. :caf

:hugs Hope you and your family recovered quickly. It's definitely a bad time of the year to get sick.
