~The Council Of Youngers of BYC! (COY)~

Hahaha, I'm writing my reference list and half the papers are from ASME journals or conferences. (That's the American society of mechanical engineers). It's like, wrong degree man :p

NOOOOORF.

Tomorrow I restart my life as a student of college.
I shall now begin my long and complaint ridden refusal to acknowledge or comprehend the cruel end of summer.

Fairy magic.

I hope that it may be!
Argh, mostly it is that I hate schedules and sticking to them. And homework. And projects. And speeches and papers and school....

I have-eth a cottage!?

I still see all the posts from yesterday, besides the ones with the trillion smileys :p

Ooj, summer, like all, must end eventually. How else could one experience the jubilation associated with it beginning again?!

May you survive this year :p

No! No, Joo! I don't want it to end! Endings and beginnings are sooo over rated!
So much work to prep for and my desk looks like the only storage device in a house filled with lots of people who put lots of stuff on their only storage device!

I hope I do. lol
I fared okay last year, guess that's a bit of a bonus.

bwarggg...
Anyways, how are ya doing with your own lifey life?

Well the satanic research paper is finally finished, after I was driven to the tearz many times by the tribulations that came with its construction. I have vowed on tumblr to do nothing/go to the beach/go to the botanic gardens/go drinking for three times as many hours as I spent looking for a references, any reference, as to the capital cost of a 10kW ICE CHP system

Yesterday I hacked it down to 900 words from 1300 and wrote the reference list which took me about half the time the actual paper did. Bureaucratic impedences to constructive work.

Apart from that Iz be goodz. Yesterday I drove to the beach, almost crashed the car in the middle of a busy intersection on the way back, had an existential crisis at the shopping centre and then made perfect driving from the city to home.

I hate driving. :p

I have 15 new followers on tumblr after one of my commie friends put me on a list of "cute communists" that she posted - as I am neither cute or a communist I feel like a bit of a fraud, but the new followers seem to like me.

Has German club pub crawl a couple of weeks ago which was great because I uncreepily got to hang out with Justin for the whole night.

Septemberfest is coming up (German club has a lot of events) and I actually have to do something to help organise that, so it might not be as fun.

This semester I be doing shopping for the club's weekly food and tea catch-up on Tuesdays. I have NO IDEA why I volunteered to do this. I can only make 15 minutes at the end of it (as chem tute usually finishes early) and I only have an hour to do the shopping then have my lunch, which invariably results in me being late to my process modelling lecture.

However, I get to keep an accounts book and be in charge of $200 which doesn't belong to me so it's pretty cool. :p

Maths is going well. We're doing linear transformations, YET ANOTHER THING which can be abbreviated to "LT" as I noted with manic amusement.

Chemistry is going well, we have a very patronising lecturer who gets his kicks out of insulting people who don't do very well on his in-class questions (there's an online poll for the answers) but the subject is interesting. And we only have this guy for two weeks.

Professional Practise I will survive, after I made a pact to not worry about grades and try to remember why I'm interested in chemical engineering.

Process modelling is easy for now because it's just stuff on excel, and all the tests and exams are open book (HOW GREAT IS THIS).

Father is in China on study leave, he will be gone for three months. Our house is a very pleasant place to be right now. :p The only bad thing about it is that my mother and I are both lazy and disorganised, so I've been late for about 80% of my 9am lectures so far this semester.

Our chickens have been let out every day as there is no longer father to complain about the poo. As a consequence, Trotsky is now obese because she eats and does not do. (she is old so just likes to shrivel up in a corner and gaze upon the world with beady eye. Well, as much as an obese chicken can really shrivel up.) We have decided to no longer feed Trotsky and let her get her food from the garden.

That's about it. How about you, how are you going? How was your summer? :pop

... Someone had a cottage. Who had a cottage? I was shouting about a cottage once and Spock told me to calm down and there was a cottage. I remember this. It was a thing.

Fierlin, you are a busy person!

Well, cheers for slaying that beast of a paper! :highfive: And what a nice recovery program you have there.

Driving sucks. EPIC.
I used to love the thought of being able to drive anywhere I wanted. (Pre-license)
Nope. Nada. I avoid it whenever I can. (Doesn't help that not a person down here has any road courtesy/knows what a yield sign is or can actually drive)

WOOT for followers, no matter under what pretenses they flock to your epicness!
lol, someday I shall get a tumblr. Not sure what I would actually post. (Truthfully, I am not sure how the whole thing works... ಠ_ಠ ) But I shall also follow your greatness if and when I do.

Bwheehee...
I wish we had cool clubs! We don't, at least none that I am interested in. Your German club continually sounds more and more epic.

Well, you have an interesting array of classes, and teachers/profs.
Teachers always tend to make the class, not even the subject so much. I learned that last year, most of mine were pretty chill. I am afraid this time around! I have no idea what to expect from my business classes or anything else! I pretty much finished all my gen-ed classes, so all new stuff!

Awesome for you two! My dad isn't particularly loving towards free ranging our pompomms either... They like to hang out by the porch and garage.. and leave presents...
Omg, the description of Trotsky is epic. I would like to meet that chubby bird.

Summer was pretty good. Ended up working my rear off and not getting much vacationing in, but I have enough to pay for my text books and supplies(Or a down payment on a new car... :th ).
We went to the Smoky mountains last week, I will have to post some pictures.

Mostly it rained. A lot. All of the time.
Did I mention we were in a tent?... Tent vs. thunderstorms on the side of a mountain, guess which won? :p

Oh! Also our kitchen is demolished! We're remodeling it, finally got enough saved up, so at the moment we don't have one. And were also down a bathroom, and half. And a living room, and my brothers' bedroom. I don't even know how. Most of the new kitchen is in the two latter. lol We are currently living off of microwave food.

I will also have to report back on Tuesday on my classes, by then I will have been to them all and will know the horrors. *Faints*
No eight O' clock classes though! HA! TAKE THAT LIFE!

I will take your word on that. ಠ_ಠ
lol

I wish I had a cottage, if that helps though.
Like one of those ones on the posters for the english countryside, with some sheepies and a goose.
