~The Darklanders ЯP~

Addison stopped and looked around, wondering where the camp was.

Suddenly, Hailey spotted the outpost with her sharp eyes and pointed "We can start there" She told Addison and Ainsley, heading up the slope towards them.

Those who were up at the outpost watched silently.

The trio clammered across the stones until they reached the outpost "We come in peace" Hailey shouted to them from a ways away "We have a urgent message for your leader!"

"Alright," yelled one from up top, who was dressed in a long black cloak and russian hat like the rest. He spoke in a strange accent. "I'll go fetch the king." Within seconds, a fluffy white dove with a message attached to its leg band flew up the hill and disappeared into the dark.

They finally reached the outpost and waiting, trying to remain patient.

After several minutes, a large Shire stallion pulled a fancy sled down the hill and stopped with a flick of powdery snow. The king held onto the reins with gloved hands, an elaborate beaver fur cloak worn against his body with the gold-rope embroidered hood up. His eyes pierced through the hood and he began to speak, steam coming from his breath due to the cold environment. "What is it?" in the same strange accent as the other had spoke in before.

"We are here to warn you that darkness is coming, something the Tribes have never seen before. It destroyed our Tribe, and it will destroy yours if you don't ally with the other Tribes. You are not strong enough to face it alone"

Though being told he was not strong enough to face the darkness alone irked him, Voeaux bit his tongue down to refrain from speaking of it. "What is this...'darkness' you speak of?"

"The Dragons that were supposedly 'killed' a thousand years ago are back, and hungry for revenge against the Darklanders for driving them out. They will stop at nothing to destroy everything" Hailey replied, glancing unconciously at the thick red welt that went from her neck to her tail.

"Ah, I see now. Thank you for the information. We will begin choosing our allies, recruiting more, reinforcing our buildings, and training more so with the apprentices."

"Its the least we can do" Addison replied "There will be a meeting in three days with the leaders of the other Tribes to further discuss this. The Dragons will be here in one moon"

He nodded. "Okay."
