Suddenly a cry of surprise came from behind us. "Buddy!" called his old master. "Master....!!" Buddy barked, astonished. "Oh you poor dogs! I'm so sorry! I should of never left you! I promise I never will again." Our owner said, beginning to cry with joy. As master and Buddy hugged, I licked my owners hands. "Oh fido! Good dog! Where's...." he began to say, as he looked for Goldie, Gracie, Cody and the puppies. I hung my head and Buddy whimpered. Without saying another word, my master hugged me and Buddy. "Who are these guys?" our owner asked, looking towards Rio and Zip. Zip, caustious around humans, said from a few feet away, "It was nice to help ya'll out, but I gotta get going! See ya! bye! Toodles! Bye...." and off he went into the woods. Rio stood a few feet away from master, clucking nervously. He had never been close to a human, well, never close to a friendly human. "Hi, lil fella.... so Buddy, you already replaced Goldie, eh?" my master asked. Buddy glared at me, and quickly I sat next to Rio, trying to tell master that I friended him, not Buddy. Suddenly I remembered the pitbull! I looked behind me and there he sat, watching everything, wishing he had as nice a owner as us. "Hi big guy... you got a home?" my master said kindly as he held a hand out to the pitbull. The pitbull sniffed his had, then wagged his tail. So he gently picked up Buddy and all five of us walked back towards the road. I saw his car parked behind the truck that still lay on its side. The mean men were no longer in the truck... suddenly a mean, evil voice asked, "Those your dogs? If they are.... i'm afraid I'm gonna have to take 'em from you."
