Buddy snarled in anger, for these two men were quite evil. Suddenly I remembered Rio and sadness filled my heart. Baring my teeth, I stepped forward, menacingly. The men each grabbed a rope and attempted to throw it over my head. I dodged their attempts and as they were pulling back their ropes, I leaped forward and grabbed a mouthful of Mark's arm. He hit me and punched me, and I yelped. Buddy limped over and grabbed a good hold of Jimmys leg. He's a terrier, if you remember, so he held on pretty tight! Zip ran back and forth, under the mens feet, chattering angrily and cheering us on. Suddenly a third man came in, saw what was going on, whistled and in came a massive pitbull. It ran over and was just about to attack Buddy, but I jumped infront of him and took the consequences.... teeth dug through my flesh and my head was knocked into a wall. "Fido! NO!" I heard Buddy bark! The pitbull tore into my back and I fought back as well as I could. By now, Mark threw a rope around my neck and my muzzle once again. Buddy was tied up as well and with one click of his tongue, the third man called back the pitbull. I lay, in pain, gritting my teeth as blood gushed out of my back. I didn't look at my wound, I stared into Buddy's soft brown eyes and thumped my tail on the ground. Mark and Jimmy grabbed me and carried me to the same cage I had just escaped from. Buddy was dragged to the farthest cage away from me, and Zip was locked in a hamster cage. The men went to the other room and began to play cards again. The pitbull stood at the door, watching his captives intently. "Look, we're all dogs, right? Can you PLEASE let us go? We have to go, these men will hurt us!" I pleaded to the pitbull. He ignored my plea and kept staring at Zip, licking his chops and sniffing the air. Zip stared back, quite scared of what he would become soon.
