The voice sounded familiar
but it was very faint in my memory. I remember hearing that voice long ago. I had a flashback.
It was warm, cozy. I snuggled against my mothers belly, my brothers and sisters snuggled against my body. I trembled, for I was just a newborn. Hairless, blind and deaf. I whimpered. My mother licked me all over, and pushed me up to her belly to nurse. Weeks past, my eyes and ears were opened. I played with my brothers and sisters, but I became especially fond of one of my sisters, Nellie. She was black with a white chest, and I was brown with a white chest. We played and loved eachother. We stayed at eachothers side, good times or bad. One day, a women with a child came and took away my other siblings. Me and Nellie were left, and soon, they took her as well. I remember a mother and a older girl coming in. Nellie huddled with me as we watched them examine us. The older girl gently picked up Nellie and snuggled her. I yapped frantically! My sister! They took her away. And Nellie didnt even say goodbye. I was replaced by a human. Ever since then, my anger at Nellie slowly demolished. Now I miss her more than ever.
So when I heard that faint voice, memory came back to me. I turned around and looked into the bushes. Nellie! I barked happily! Buddy! she yapped! We ran up to eachother, tails waving, eyes glowing, playfully nudging eachother and sniffing eachother all over. Cody sat to the side, his tail beating the ground like a drum. Wha
what happened to you?! she asked as she noticed all the scratchs and bruises and blood that covered my body. I started to explain when suddenly, the wind started to blow, trees creaked, leaves danced in the air and I heard screaming in the distance.
