"LET THEM GO!!!" I roared at the fox as I ran aggressively towards him. The fox ran away, with Delilah still in his mouth. I ran over to Tucker and quickly asked, "Is she alive?" He shook his head and whimpered and cried. I comforted him and nuzzled his neck. "What happened?" I asked quietly. "Me and my sister went out to play in the snow while you guys talked about boring stuff, then the fox came and took us!" He said, still whimpering in between words. I picked him up by the scruff of his collar, than ran back towards the shed. I approached the spot where I had crossed the road, but I gasped. There was a mountain of snow on all sides of the road! (I now know a snow plow pushed the snow up into banks.) I climbed up halfway, then my paws began to slip! I dug my claws in the snow, but I sunk lower and lower until I hit the ground. Determined not to give in, I dug my paws deeper in the snow as I took each step up the mountain of snow. I threw the pup up to the top of the mountain, then finally jumped up myself. I made it, now the question was how to get down. Gingerly I put the pup between my front legs, sat down and scooted forward. Down we went! Slipping and turning and spinning, it all made my head dizzy! We got to the bottom and skidded on the icy road. Now to climb the other bank.... I threw Tucker on top, than began to climb once again. Suddenly, I heard a noise. Around the corner came another snow plow! I watched as the pointy sides cut through the snow banks on the sides of the road... and I was next! I climbed frantically, but I kept sliding back down! It edged closer and closer, the driver not seeing me.... I yowled in pain.....
