I also made sure that if my Runner girls did not start preening right after tub time, I wiped them off with a dry washcloth. I was quite the helicopter duckling mom. But they all made it to maturity!!!

(We did lose a couple to internal problems. Gosh, it still hurts....)

But nine of the original eleven are still here, starting their seventh year of life.
WOW, 7 years is awesome.. I'd say you are an excellent helicopter duckling mom, grandma, great grandma...

Snow flake went broody again eggs our in dog house new batch I can't see them.

Our local duck pond only had one muscovy duck and it got hit by by a car... I am so upset about it

O nooo, so sorry to hear this.
 
Hello all, well I have a question for any who may know. What type of ducks do we have? We got them from our local TSC and the lady "thought" they were regular white pekings, but now we are in doubt. They were all cute little yellow ducklings, then within a few weeks 2 developed a dark spot on their heads, and now they all are getting dark caps with the initial 2 having a much more prominent spot. Thanks in advanced.
