I haven't been able to. She used to get off everytime I opened her door or reach in but she doesn't move when I go in there anymore.

Then you will probably have to lift her off and set her outside. Once she is off the nest she will walk around and eat, swim and bathe most likely. Its very important for her health that she exercizes and eats enough.

How long before a drakes mating takes over? A pekin drake got one of my Ancona girls and I think we've lost the Ancona male. I want to incubate pure Anconas before it's too late.

They can store sperm to use for fertilizing eggs later. Chances are if she mated with both the Ancona drake and the pekin drake she has sperm from both of them stored and her eggs could be fertilized by either one. She could stay fertile from the pekin for up to two to three weeks. I'd just go ahead and incubate the eggs because some should be purebred. You could sell the mixes if you don't want them.

If it's been a month since she started sitting then we are right at hatching time, and often when the ducklings are hatching she won't get off the nest. Lifting her off while the hatch is in progress could cause a drop in humidity and lead to shrink wrapped ducklings, so I'd be careful and make sure the hatch isn't in progress before moving her.

How long has it been since she has gotten off the nest? If it's been just a day or two perhaps the hatch is going on. If it's been over a month since she started sitting the eggs are definitely due if they developed.

Can you check for ducklings? A hatch could go three days especially if other ducks laid eggs in her nest after she started sitting.

You're welcome! Ducklings can be very slow hatchers so she may just be waiting on them to finish up. If she doesn't get up for too much longer though you will eventually need to get her up or at least put food and water right next to her. You might want to do that now actually just to be safe.

She has both and everything is set up for to ducklings! I just checked on her a agin and she has moved positions.
