Can someone give me a picture or 2 of what their EE combs/faces looked like when they first started laying? Mine are 24 weeks and nothing yet

This is Ester...she started laying at 22 1/2 weeks. My other EE didn't start laying until 32 weeks old.

they look close, have they started squatting for you yet? Mine have always laid within a week or two of when they started squating.

Here are three of my EEs at 21 weeks.
Kaylee and Bridget started at 24 weeks, Yolanda (the white one) started when she was 26 weeks.



Saffron waited until she was 37 weeks to start, but this was due in large part to the shortening length of day.

Do they look ready to lay?

They look close!

But I second the squatting thing... It takes 8-10 days for an egg to leave the ovary and become a shelled egg. So... Squatting means you are within a week.

Are your guys EEs smaller than your other LF? I have barred rocks and wyandottes and a few others and my EEs seem smaller?
