The EE braggers thread!!!

Most of my Easter-eggers are small next to my Wyandottes and especially next to my barred Rocks.

This pic kinda shows it; Wyandotte, barred Rock, and then Easter-egger:

Are your guys EEs smaller than your other LF? I have barred rocks and wyandottes and a few others and my EEs seem smaller?
depends on what theyre mixed with. My "pure" EEs are averaged sized, I have some Jersey Giant and Thai EE crosses that are larger though :D
There are also bantam EEs, I current only have eggs, so IDK how big they are, but I plan on crossing them with my serama to make itty bitty ones

I just had a group of 8 EE chicks hatch today (and one wheaten marans so far...). They EE's are from my roo Axl and my two EE girls, I can't wait to see how they turn out!

But, my question is: are crooked toes more common in EE's b/c I have never had this problem in approximatly 50 birds and on the thread it seemed the majority of people had the issue with their EEs.

Of my 12 girls, only one has a crooked toe and she is an EE. The other EEs toes are all fine.

GREAT pictures Kristin! I've not seen the inside of a chickens mouth before and I bet this is a FAR easier way than telling them to "Say ahhh" nor trying to force their beaks open

I don't have nay Wynadottes or Rocks to compare, but in my flock of 12, here are the sizes largest to smallest

Australorp

EE and EE

The following aren't hugely different in size
Australorp
Ancona and Ancona
Faverolles and Faverolles

a bit smaller than the above, not too much
Partridge Chantecler and Partridge Chantecler

clear step down!!
Cubalaya and Cubalaya (but they are super cute

My pure Ameraucanas [not EEs] are smaller than my australorp, salmon faverolles, and barred rock. This is normal though--Ameraucanas are not large birds [~5 lbs for a hen], so their mixes probably wouldn't be very large either.
