I think he is kinda pretty and he definitely did not like being in with the much larger roosters they had. Anyway here is a pic of him.

Alright, I'll come out of hiding to throw my 2 cents in. Offhand, this roo immediately strikes off as a Blue Wheaten Ameraucana. However, the apparent lack of tail and the yellow skin (easily seen at the base of the beak) suggests that this particular boy is not purebred. Yes, This bird is right off the bat not an Araucana. That is made obvious by the beard and muffs. However, I believe that this doesn't rule out the possibility of it being an Araucana/EE or an Araucana/Ameraucana cross. This bird appears to be "Partially Rumpless", a state that shows up not uncommonly in Araucanas. Partially rumpless birds are indeed "tailess" (they lack the whole tail bone) but they still have a few lingering, awkward tail feathers with nowhere to grow but down.
As seen in this boy, a more "to the type" Araucana (not my bird)

I can easily see him being a cross between a Roo of this color and a blue wheaten ameraucana or similarly colored EE

Very gorgeous bird regardless, and a great pickup! I would've grabbed him too!

As for an update on my case, I'm currenty waiting for the silkies to mature out and maybe start to lay for me

The weather looks to be getting warmer any time soon. Can't wait to throw some Wheaten Ameraucana bantams and Splash Silkie/Wheaten Ameraucana crosses in the incubator. Guarenteed blue bantam EEs right off the bat, should be cuties. (Splash pullet has a nice vaulted skull)
Also moving the RSL girls in with the Buff Ameraucanas for lack of space, so maybe I'll throw a couple of their eggs in the 'bator, for curiosity's sake

Here are pics of my 6 new EE chicks i got on sunday. not all of the chicks are in the picture, i didnt get a chance to take a picture of all of the chicks.

the two above are the same chick and she is my favorite. She is at least double the size of all the ones i have and all of the other ones that were at the farm store. I felt bad for because it was like no one wanted her. She hardley chirpped and likes me to hold her so that she can fall asleep in my hand.

Now if only I could think of some good names for everyone.
