The EE braggers thread!!!

I found this egg in my coop and it is huge. It was my first double yolker, but i have no idea who layed it. At first I thought it might be a duck egg and then i rembered that i don't have any of myfemale ducks anymore. Do you guys have an ideas?

My EE, Hazel, is famous for her double (and sometimes triple!) yolkers! She's amazing, but I worry about her possibly becoming eggbound! You should see the size of some of her eggs! I seriously need to get a picture sometime! :)

Ok everyone, I have 4 EE chicks (hopefully girls, but we'll see) and I am trying to figure out how old they are. We have had them a week and the guy at the feed store was not sure how old they are. What do you all think?

hi everyone,
we are getting about six chicks this spring, first time. we are definately getting some EE's, but was also thinking of a few barred rocks. any thoughts on this? thanks.
I have EEs and Barred Rocks and love them both. EEs will always be my favorite though. But the Barred Rocks are very pretty to look at and good egg layers and they do have good personalities.

My EE looks just like that an she is 2 weeks old... Yours has more feathers so I think it's 3 weeks

I have a year old EE that recently had a bout of crop impaction. It took her almost a month to start laying again afterwards, I was starting to think she was an internal layer, but her eggs went from large and blue to almost white and golf ball sized. Has anyone had this happen to their EE and if so did she ever recover and start laying normally again? She has laid 3 eggs like this in the past 2 weeks.
