The EE braggers thread!!!

yeah, that is an Easter egger pullet, and a very beautiful lady at that!

I just gave a Brody hen 13 eggs that are these breeds of hen (black sex link, rhode island red, easter egger, australorp, barred rock, new hampshire red) crossed on neither my lovely EE roo or my now in the freezer domonique roo. Anyone have ideas as to the coloring?

Thank you :)

Sounds good, it is raining and icky here to, pretty windy yesterday. Maybe your Roo is still young enough to fix, if he is still growing. It would take longer then catching it right away.
Ok, I got a pic for you. I should state first that my girl did not have hardly any black on her like yours till a couple weeks ago. They change so much so fast it is hard to keep up with them. lol
But here she is

My little EE man, Hika Ma, at 6 weeks old:

He's starting to get some really pretty tricolored white, red, and dark gray feathers around his tail!

Very pretty! I like the black over brown. Seems like they would blend in well free ranging. It will be interesting to watch my girl change as she grows.

I have a quick question, I have some Easter egger/silkie mix chicks that I am looking to sell. Just wondering if anyone has an idea how much I should ask for them. I'm not looking to ship them so it's going to be local only , but I have no idea what to charge. Thanks!!

This is my new EE cockerel I got last wednesday. His full name is Dr. John Watson( after the character in Sherlock Holmes), but I just call him Watson. He is 3-4 months old. The lady I got him from had had seven of her chicks turn out to be males and he was the smallest out of all of them so he was beat up quite a bit. He has no sickle feathers and he had a large chuck of flesh taken out of him. But thankfully that is healing and is not infected at all. So far he seems like a nice bird, I just still have to work on getting him to be more comfortable around me.
