So, I have heard a kit about EE Roo's having red around their wings and neck. Could this little guy be turning Roo? That would be OK, since this is the nicest chick of the bunch, and my little boy has already named it Darth Vader.

Too young to tell sex. That color is usually a female color. When people say red on roosters they usually are referring to a deep mahogany on the shoulders of roosters.

Got it. I will keep watching. This is like Christmas morning for me, I just can't wait to see what they all turn out to be!! I have an all out mix of chicks, and have only identified the 5 EE, SLW, and 3 SSH. Lots more to figure out!

He/she is so cute. I have one like that too and having a hard time deciding which ones to keep from this batch lol. Good luck with your little ones.

It is so crazy! I have one of each color it seems. A yellow one, who is a bit aggressive when I take a chick or put a chick back into the brooder, the dark blackish one in the pic, a light chipmunk colored one with reall puffy cheeks and black eyeliner, a light brown one and a dark brown one. Hopefully we will get a good assortment of egg colors!

That's what I love about them. I currently have one light, silvery looking one that has buff colored feathers coming in (first in my pictures above) who is my favorite, 2 that are dark (one chocolate colored all over (2nd picture above) and one with the golden chest feathers, and then 3 of the chipmunk colored ones (3rd picture) whose feathers are all coming in with laced pattern in different shades of tan. I can't wait to see their colors when they fully feather.

My Eleanor is about 17 weeks now. I'm getting super impatient waiting for eggs lol. The next month is going to go sooooo slooooowww. Hopefully she starts early.
