The EE braggers thread!!!

YIPPEE I finally got my Easter Eggers (called Ameraucanas at the feed store...but I know that means EE's.)

I've got them successfully fostered by my Silkie hen who went broody (again) this week, but as I didn't want to start eggs this late in the season, I got 2 baby five-day old chicks....and endulged in my longing for EE's. :D :D :D

So...we're playing with names for them...afterall they are EASTER eggers....

What are your favorite names for EE's?

Right now our top runners for names are: Cadbury (from the chocloate egg sold at Easter); Peeps (yep...for those marshmallow chicks sold at Easter); Paschal (Greek for Easter); Basket and Bunny.

My Eleanor is about 17 weeks now. I'm getting super impatient waiting for eggs lol. The next month is going to go sooooo slooooowww. Hopefully she starts early.

I have two very similar to your Eleanor. Their eyes are a little larger and they are so friendly. They are 5 months and just started laying this week, pretty blue eggs, my new favorite. I was impatient too but it is well worth the wait!

I like Peeps and Paschal!

I have 2 Easter Eggers and don't like them much. 1 is a rooster and the other is a pullet. They are about 20 wks old or so and I've had them for a month or more. They are very skittish and won't let you get near them still. They also don't have anything to do with my other girls. At least when the girl starts laying I'll have a good reason to keep her.
