The EE braggers thread!!!

My two young EE pullets, and my 'homemade' Olive Egger pullet who just started laying me beautiful olive eggs (father was my cuckoo marans rooster, mother was an EE hen who was taken by a predator earlier in the year). The two young ones are incredibly timid.

I love this hen, I have a couple cuckoo marans and a few EE's. I never imagined one combined! She is so cute!

While I doorder from hatcheries, I doknow some of them have smaller minimums. Maybe check Meyer Hatchery, I don't remember what months but at one point of time throughout the year they have a minimum of 3. You would probably want to add a heat pack if they provide it, and expect a few packing peanuts. Hope you can find somewhere to get some new additions.

love these!!! white egg in upper right corner is store bought for color reference.

Olive Egger?

Hi EE'ers! I thought I'd pop in and show a few pictures of our girl's eggs now that I think they are all laying. As I am fascinated by all of the different colored eggs these chickens lay. These are all EE eggs. That's all we have are EEs. I'm not sure if we have an olive egger? some of the eggs are olive-y. The brownish/pinkish egg is from our EE that looks to be mixed with RIR. She gives a double yoker a lot. The white egg in the carton pic is a store egg used for color reference. There is also a pic of one with a really vibrant blue tip. Aren't EE's the best?!!!
