Hi everyone! Just an update, but awhile back I posted about if bacon and taco was a cockerel or not. Everyone said that Taco was a pullet, but I had a feeling he wasn't. So today I went up to the coops and both of them were trying to crow along with one of my Wyandotte cockerel. I am happy that they are males (usually never say that), but they will be the dads to next years bunch! I think they will give some pretty cute chicks!

Thanks! I was really hoping they were! Everyone was saying that Taco was a pullet, but I had a feeling. You should hear them try to crow, it's so funny! These pics were from a little over 2 weeks ago and they are really changing their colors! Taco is getting more black in his tail feathers and Bacon is getting more red feathers on his head and shoulders.

Hello all!
I just hatched out some easter egger chicks from my flock and I have the most curious looking little chick. It has an Easter Egger daddy and either a black Australorp or barred rock mommy. I think it may be a sex-link male and the mom is the barred rock...but the spot is not white it's buff, and the placement is not right. Has anyone seen anything like it?

Well kenzier093, sound like you are really enjoying your new roo's and you are right it is fun to watch them when they first start to crow and the best one is the first one when it shocks them or that is what it looks like

It would be pretty funny to actually see the very first time they do try to crow! When I watched them this morning they looked like they were trying their hardest to get sound out and it looks painful! lol

Hi everyone. I am new to the EE thread. I have about 5 EE and several blue, black, and buff Ameraucanas. They are all housed together with my Blue Ameraucana Roo. I also have some NN / Ameraucana chickens. I am so excited to see if they will be little EE or what color egg they will lay. I live in Tucson AZ and I could not imagine NOT having my EE and Ameraucana hens. I love all my color varieties and I am thinking of getting a Maran hens and breeding them to my Ameraucana Roo to see if I get the olive eggs. I am on a personal mission to have as many different colored eggs as possible. I love the variety!!!!.

You all have so many beautiful birds.
