Thanks for asking; I'm new to EEs (and chickens in general) and keep reading about leg color so I wondered too.Question for those that have more EE history than I do. Is leg color any indication of egg color? I ask because the EE I got 3 years ago that turned out orange and black had slate legs and laid blue eggs. The other has green legs and lays green eggs. All 3 of my now nearly month old EE chicks have green legs.
I like green eggs (and ham) but I sure would like to have some blue eggs as well.![]()
BBQ...chicken?pea comb will more likely give blue egg because blur egg gene is close to pea comb gene on chromosome...leg color and tail/tailless are just indicators of parentage
