Newest members of my little flock.
 
So, the hen that had a comb like this one was missing that little dent in the middle at this stage. Hers eventually got tall and a little bumpy/rippled looking but nothing resembling rows. In pictures I'm looking at, it most resembled a "strawberry" comb. I just called it a rose-pea for lack of a proper term but I think genetically that is what it's made of? I don't entirely understand how there are so many looks from the same combination but I'll be darned if I can see any hint of a row in this chick's comb.
 
Interesting development you have there so how old is this chicken ?


This one is not quite 2 weeks. It's just the second one I've gotten from the same source that was both silver and had this type of comb. I found a close-up of the previous one in the chick stage. I think she was 5-6 weeks here:
