Nice hen!!

Love the name (got an Araucana with that name) love the color (nice duckwing) and love her body type (nice wide rear, tail isn't pinched or too high, nice plump body)

Has anyone had EE's that become less friendly/agressive as they matured? I'm just wondering because I do intend to treat them as "pets."

I personally have never had an EE that has become more aggressive, only other breeds and them being Roos. But I was checking Craigslist for chickens for sale and their was a post FREE B***CH CHICKEN. The owner is calling her ameracauna

well, not EE specific, but generally you don't want to make a rooster a pet, since you can get some complications in behavior, but each case is different- i got my EE roo as an adult and have never had problems with him, he is very tolerant of being handled and its more of a team effort with his ladies- last nite he heard one of the younger EE's arguing with me about handling and he patrolled the fence line until i brought her back- really amazing to see his protective behavior

i kept asking him today what i am going to do with him....LOL!! i really don't need a second roo, but we live on ten acres so his crowing won't be an issue.... not sure if i can integrate him and his sister into the flock, whether his dad will tolerate him. I have a friend that caponizes her roo's, am considering that.... but he is so darn beautiful!

I Just Bought 9 Ee Chicks And 4 Americauna Chicks. I Was Told The Only Difference Was The Legs Color Had To Be Purplish To Be An Americauna.
Can Anyone Commment On This

Your EE's will more than likely have olive/yellowish legs

The AmerAcuana have blue/slate legs with NO yellowing on the underside of the feet. Also Ameracuana are available in only select colors. Photos can be seen on the Ameracuana breeds club web site.
