The EE braggers thread!!!

Thank you and no worries, I did not get anyone for shows we got them mostly for eggs and they provide stimulation to our rescue dogs who all watch them from a distance, has the rescue dogs are in secure runs and so are the chickens and these little feathered guys have helped one of our rescues to find a purpose she assists in feeding chickens and ducks every day her job is to let no one get out and will remind you by not leaving a run if you forget to do something like give the birds weeds or clover, she also tries to keep a tight schedule she will let you know if you are late visiting all the birds or if you are taking too much time, She also loves to see the babies, with our special needs duck and the goose that was not big enough for an outside run she would oversee their swim time and like the outside guys make sure they got what they were supposed to have.

I don't think that was meant to be an insult. She may have just put it there to show she was doing it in a friendly way. To me that Icon is just a big SMILE and not laughing. I know a lot of people get there feeling hurt over on that thread with EE, most also have EE. They get a lot of people posting EE and it make it confusing.... not the posters faults though! It is the sellers selling them as Ams. The confusion come when people with EE read the thread and see birds that look like theirs and ASSUME it is the right thread. I try to lead people over here if they are EE and welcome them.... I don't want to just say they are EE and you need to go away.... I think people do get that feeling and am sorry.

I don't know what they mean on that thread, but I personally avoid that thread entirely. I think it is the most unfriendly thread on BYC, and I knew I had EE's even though they were marketed as ameraucana's.

We are new to Chickens so I thought I would ask has I saw so many posts about some not being Ameraucana so I just wanted to ask so we would know, the upside is someone on the thread did apologize and let me know they were there to ask questions, some people I guess take the breeds of their chickens serious and I guess I do the same with my project car and motorcycles can’t stand hearing my Harley's called Honda's but I do explain the difference.

Yes, quite bad sometimes. The Marans thread had to be re started. The Heritage RIR got me when I first started.

EE, Cream Legbar, Ameracauna and others with green to blue eggs came from Aracauna crosses...They are all crosses of some sort, so lets all get along.

Thank you! She started out really dark. Here she is during her first week of life. The chick to the right of her is "Friendly". I too love the red in macaroni, but it's making me suspicious.

And here she is about a week ago.

Adorable!
I hope you let us know how Macaroni ends up showing, a hen or a roo. I had a little EE who had a lot of red in her and she was definitely a hen. Be patient, you may get a surprise.
