The EE braggers thread!!!

TinkyFeathers your avatar picture is a darling NN pose.

Simmonsfunnyfrm very pretty group of EEs. I like the first two best. No 1 with the colorful head and collar and lighter body feathers is rather unique. I haven't seem much of that style.
Thanks!! She was posing like that and I quick tried to take a picture and I thought I didn't get it but I'm so glad I did!

and Wishing4Wings I just went out to the coop and looked at that little EE and "her" comb is WAY more pronounced than the other EE. I guess I'll just have to wait and see

My oldest EE boys have started to harass the girls, so I don't think I will be keeping them for much longer. But I did get some pics this week...

I think this is the ugliest EE on the planet. His toes are crooked, his legs bow out, his whole posture is off (he holds his tail like that - it wasn't just the wind...) and he doesn't have a beard. And he's super skittish, afraid of everything. His color is kinda cool though.

My younger group is about 12 weeks old now.

Hope I'm not causing you much worry because I really don't know. I was noticing the darker looking red patches on the wing and the slightly larger comb. BUT, at 6 weeks I think the comb would be bright pink if a boy, and I have seen other red chicks with what looked like red wing splotches turn out to be very pretty pullets. So I am curious about the sex of yours. (I spend way too much time looking at the EE sexing thread!

Thanks for indulging my interest! Thinking girly thoughts!

I haven't posted here in a while, so be warned--I might go nuts with the pictures. Just wanted to update on how my young Easter-eggers are doing.

The youngest of the lot turned a year old last month, which was celebrated with a 'cake' made of yogurt and various fruits and veggies. (Left to right, this is Betty, Mako, (Cub's head), and Wynne.)

Wynne made a new friend to snuggle with at night.

Chickie (top picture) and Cub are doing great for birds that would have turned 7 this year.

Meanwhile, Merlin's beard is enveloping the youngsters that dare come near her at roost time.

We had rain today after who-knows-how-long and, well, some beards fared drier than others.

...And, well, I think I'll stop while I'm ahead here. ;) Good night, fellow Easter-egger enthusiasts!

The first picture is of my hen, Amber. We don't have the roosters in the next two pictures anymore but we have 4 EEs right now. I haven't been able to take pictures of them yet though. The last picture is my EE hen, Peanut. She was a wonderful hen but she died a couple months ago

good looking birds one and all ! Roosters are so pretty but I have found that it is difficult to find one with a nice temperament.

I love Betty's colors, she reminds me of a delicate party dress.

I must be lucky because mine is the sweetest rooster ever. He was handled daily for several months (he had to be separated from the hens they were picking on him). He is my first rooster and I do not have any others to judge by but I doubt they will hold a candle to Candy Cane.

I am glad to find a place where EE's are celebrated & not snubbed. My first every broody hen hatched chicks! Here are some pictures of Candy Cane's offspring:
