Yes... yellow chicks will give you white birds usually. Wheatens hatch yellow/white and turn later to buff colors. I have some pics of my Super Blue Egg Layers in my siggy... they are all white with black leakage. They hatch yellow with black spots on most.
Hello, all you EE lovers- 1st time poster here on this thread. I'm looking to add a couple EEs to my flock next, but really want them to be mostly white/light feathered. Does anyone have pix of what color day-old chicks to look for to get white or mostly white adult? I would assume yellow, but wasn't sure if EEs were different? If I'm picking from a group of chicks, I just want to have the best odds I can. Thanks- Jenni
I just noticed yesterday that my EE hens do not have any wattles at all. I know hens aren't supposed to have huge wattles anyway but I thought it was odd that they don't even have tiny wattles like my single comb birds do.
Quote: Thanks, he is very pretty. I have him and a split for sale on CL locally but have had no takers yet. I would hate to give him to my roo guy to be dinnerI will keep him a little while longer but his time is running out. I just can't have 4 pens for my lavenders. I have a black pen, and 3 Lav roos so someone has to go.![]()
