I've been anxiously awaiting eggs from my OE pullet who's about 7 months old. I noticed she was starting to squat this week, so I have been keeping a close eye on her. She finally laid her first egg today - it isn't olive, but is a beautiful turquoise color. So I guess she can join the EE ranks![]()
I hatched her out from some BCM x EE hatching eggs I got from a forum member.
Her egg between my wheaten marans and lakenvelder eggs, it's a really pretty shade of blue!

Is the red on the wings ALWAYS true? I have one hen, ginger who is red and white lace on her front half, but the red gets EXTREMELY dark on the wings, while it's only a light red on the rest of her body, but I know she's a pullet.
Beautiful! I love their gentle body colours with lighter shade of muffs. Are they EE., OE., or Am? I have the most difficult time differentiating between these three breeds. Well, regardless of what they may be called, I like each and every one!!
She is simply lovely with beautiful eyes matching her body colour! I love the color of her egg.I've been anxiously awaiting eggs from my OE pullet who's about 7 months old. Each and every baby is very pretty! I am quite taken by the white birds in the 3rd. and 5th. photos. Both are simply gorgeous!
You'll get some baby chicks. It's really hard to tell what colorsswill come out. According to the calculator all chicks should be blue, but I've found that doen't always hold true.
What a beautiful egg!!! The other Marans egg is gorgeous also. ;D Love the coloring on her!! Too cute!I've been anxiously awaiting eggs from my OE pullet who's about 7 months old.
