I'm fairly certain my new EEs are girls, but they're not quite six weeks old yet so can't be positive. Meet Ringo and Momo.

Thanks Magnolia. When we got them they looked like chipmunks so we found the names fitting.

I see that most ee's have blue or green legs but some have yellow legs. Are the yellow legged ones true ees?

Leg color does not matter on EE .

Great because I bought some chicks from a lady that are supposed to be Ameraucanas and Wyandottes. They are about 7 weeks old and all have yellow legs. I can not discern if any of them are even Easter Eggers. I do not think that any of them are real Wyandottes. So I am hoping for at least a couple of EE hens.

If she's running a mixed flock, there isn't any way of knowing which chicks have inherited the blue egg gene until they lay an egg. You might get a good idea from shared traits which ones are candidates but even a strong resemblance doesn't guarantee that particular gene was passed.
