Yay! Both my EEs are laying as of today! My sister said she heard 'scratching' in the nests so I went around the other way to peek in. I was so surprised to see Delores standing over an egg in the nest carefully relocating the wood shavings all around. Even more cute...her sister Amelia, who has been laying since Christmas Eve, was roosting on the rung in front of Delores like she was a midwife or cheerleader or something. Well, maybe she was just waiting her turn cuz later I found both green eggs in the same nest.

This is our flashy EE rooster, muffin. He seems to be a fairly common color combo among EE roos, does anyone know what breed crossing makes that? I think its very pretty
