I have a d50 and getting a d90 in a few weeks! A good camera makes a difference for sure! I am in Tulsa we should go shoot some photos some time lol. When my fil comes down we go out to the dam or rose garden or zoo and do pictures (he is a pro photographer) It is fun.

OMg Illia please tell me that the ones youre suspecting are roos aren't mine!
Oh if mine are tell me cause I want to know. We have 8 chicks and only keeping 5. I am having a hard time choosing and if one or more are Roos that will make the decision easier. ( 5 of the chicks came from the pullet bin but whi knows)

That would be cool. I take pics at the zoo a lot, I didn't know Tulsa had a rose garden. I also take a lot of pics at Honor Heights park in Muskogee, that place is awsome for good shots, both land scape and macro. The OKC zoo has a new 12 million dollar exhibit, and a brand spanking new baby elephant (or will be before may 1st) I also want to make a trip to the city for the Myriad gardens when they reopen.
Lucky you w/ the D90, I'm getting a new lens the new Tamron PZD 18-270 mm. I can't wait, it will be my first non nikkor lens, but it has amazing reviews. I agree w/ a good camera making it easier, but a good eye is more important, I think. With a good eye and a crappy camera you can still do wonders, but the best camera made and a crappy eye and you still get ******
2 definites. Some are unsexable by color without knowing the parents though. But two are definite.
Lol, do you think any of mine might be roosters??? If you do, please spill --I am getting more chicks this friday, and if one of my EEs is a roo I want to pick up a few more EEs.
We got a new girl! She is a cross between a Ameraucana and a buff orpington. She is beautiful! Looks like a Buff Ameracuana!
So should we get blue, green or brown egg?
It was supposed to be a pure Ameraucana the parent (forgot to ask which is which, but if my poor attempt at gentics is correct, since she is buff would that make the roo a BO and the hen Ameraucana, or does that not make a difference?)
We went to buy two Barred Rocks. We lost my sweet penny today to something when a storm came and blew over our run. Very sad. After chemo today my mom took me to get the BR and when we saw this girl we could not resist! I will post pictures tomorrow. We are redoing the run (with 2x4;s ) in the morning, (the girls were mad at me for not letting them out of the coop/small run today) so I gotta get the big one finished lol.
I miss penny, but I am happy with what we got. They are 5-6 months so they will be laying soon. (their combs are almost all red, not quite as red as my big girls, but close) So we wont have to wait as long for more eggs! And what a colorful flock we will have.
