I do have some EE chicks on the way...a bunch of them. The plan is to get rid of all the boring colored ones, and keep the interesting ones and see how they turn out!

Well don't get rid of the, until they molt then. Ours molted and their coloring became amazing.

I've never heard of that.

None of mine have ever truly made changes, but, my serious advice would be to only get rid of the boring ones by the time they're 5 months old.

Some colors can really pop out and finish off the detailing once the pullet is at laying age. My oldest Polish cross Easter Egger only strutted her double-lacing and gold breast/neck once she was about 5-6 months old. I have some EE chicks right now that look kinda bland in my opinion (black and brown smudged) but I know in a couple months they'll turn to some nice spangled, laced, pencilled, and double laced patterning.

well, I have like 14 birds right now, and the minimum I could order for a delivery this early was 15

I still haven't gotten rid of my three monster EEs...I guess I shouldn't say I cant do roos, but that I won't with such close neighbors.

Maybe if I can place a bunch of my current birds (my neighbor behind me has kids, now THEY want chickens, so I said I would give them a few, but they only want three

), I will grow out the EEs till I can tell what kind of colors they are going to be!

I know how dramatically they can change...
