So... What in the wide world of sports is going on here??!!! She's got some pretty buff lacing on her head, neck and shoulders... and then splash on her wings, back and tail... Talk about being business up front, and a party in the back! LOL

With what vocabulary shall I describe this mullet pullet?

She looks like her head and neck were transplanted onto a different chicken.

I am interested in seeing pictures of her regularly as she matures!

Thank you! She is certainly my most unique!

I have been posting the development photos of all of my easter eggers in this thread:

I am going to post the next official update on their progress in there in another couple of weeks when they are 16 weeks old, and probably update again at 20 weeks, 24 weeks, 36 weeks and then finally at 52 weeks.

Hi all.

Just wondering something about my EE's eggs. Normally they lay a pinkish color, a green, and a green speckled. But the past few days we have been getting TWO speckled eggs. Is that normal?! I know they can't change the color they lay, and I assumed that it was the same for the speckles...

Speckles I believe are just calcium deposits and they can be on any chickens eggs so yes it can change. I will sometimes get brown eggs speckled with what looks like purple speckles(weird shade of brown) from time to time my kids love those ones.

The brown on eggs is like paint.... it can be applied even or speckled. It will vary from chicken to chicken and even day to day from the same chicken. I have a Splash Rock that lays a speckled egg. My Olive Egger will lay a speckled egg sometimes but not always. The Marans are the worst as speckled eggs. I have Cuckoos that just seem to run out of paint.... half way though the egg
