The EE braggers thread!!!

Is it possible that a 14 week old EE could be a rooster and I don't know it yet? There is nothing about the way "Penguin" looks that makes me think she's a roo, but how she acts...

When I first got my original six chicks back in May, one of them, an Austra white, turned out to be more aggressive than the rest - chest-bumping and clearly the leader from the get-go. By the time he was 9 or 10 weeks old it was obvious she was a he, and we rehomed him.(Not only was he starting to crow, he had a clearly developed red comb already.) I got two new birds, a bit younger than my others - both EE's (my others are all Wyandottes.) One of them, the youngest of all, was not intimidated by the older birds - she wouldn't let them put her at the bottom of the pecking order. Now I see her chest-bumping with the others all the time! She's quite skittish and won't let me get close to her - here's the best I have for pictures.

There is nothing Roo-ish about her, is there?
Pullet..... with attitude!

she is a pullet, imo...a very pretty bird

I'm keeping this little one and I named her Alice. She is 9 weeks old..same as Monster.

I really like her coloring already. Please post more pics as she grows. And Montser....that is amazing that he came from such a light colored chick!! That's what is so fun about EE's ....you never know what you get!

My girls. All EEs. In back is Big Mama, she is 5 months old. Down front on the left is Millie and Maisy on the right, both are 4 months old. I am almost done building a new, larger coop for them. Should be done this weekend, just in time for some eggs! Can't wait.

Here are some egg pictures for y'all. If you can see it well enough there is a blue egg on top. It is from my non standard Ameracauna. Parents were mixed colors (I think a white and a wheaten), but she looks like a pure white (as does the rooster we got with her with the same parentage).

This is a days worth of eggs for me. The green eggs to the left are from my EEs, the blue on top is from my Ameracuana, white eggs are from my leghorns, brown ones is from my RIRs, the one right above the blue egg has a pinkish hue to it and I believe is from my turken.
