No worries... can you post a video of her doing it?

Shoot no I cant but she deff is showing signs you can hear her chest and the frizzle who had a shot 4 days ago and don't have what that was yet was doing better but it is 10pm and wheezy rattle still I can't stand to hear it. This is nasty stuff I am so upset I can't handle this I am in tears I don't know what I did wrong they sleep next to my bed but tonight I have to sleep in other room I can't stand the wheezing. I mixed a qt with 1 and 1/8tsp and she is drinking well I hold up a bowel and she will drink for me hope it is not to much I tell you I don't know if I am ment for this lol I am crazy..but breathing is more like telling someone to breath in and breath out and her mouth is open just enough you can see it is open. So I am going to try the Med and see if in 3 days I see improvement. In the mean time besides Rx stuff can I ease it in any way steam anything

they need time to get well. steaming (water, herbal tea...) will help a bit.

I'm not very good at expling this sort of stuff, but I'll try my best...

If they have a viral disease, antibiotics will not help, and I think we've all had our own doctors tell us that. :D

Now for the tricky part... Even though tetracyline is consider a "broad spectrum" antibiotic, it's not very effective in treating many bacteria, but it's still probably worth trying, so keep giving it.This is where being able to see a vet comes in handy, because a vet could do a couple of tests and prescribe a more effective antibiotic. There are many other drugs you could try, including human antibiotics, but some, like Baytril and Cipro, are banned for use in poultry. It's also possible that there is more than one bacteria, so sometimes more than one drug is used.

You could go to Tractor Supply and get some Tylan 50 and try adding that to the treatment, and you could also try giving a concentrated oral dose of the tetracyline. That would involve taking some amount of powder, mixing it with a small amount of water, then giving an amount of that water orally. To do this we would have to figure out what the proper dose is, and we'd also need to know the weight of your birds.

I have a 4 year old brown chinese goose who may have hurt his bill. He seems ok personality wise and is eating but don't want to get it infected.
Ok little problem. My one gander Mr Roper has a bill issue. It may be that he has scrapped it on chicken wire trying to get a muscovy drake. Problem is I'm not sure if it's getting infected. Any suggestion on what I can use on it?

I keep ducks, but fo what it's worth, for bill injuries I feel that rinsing it off with saline solution or Vetericyn, then dabbing with triple antibiotic ointment (without painkiller, to be on the safe side) two or three times a day ought to help. Adding a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar per quart of drinking water might also be helpful. It is a tonic and mild antimicrobial. Hope a goose expert checks in!

New emergency

I have a 2 y/o EE hen and.... She is sick. This morning she was jiust sitting on the roost, surrounded by her buddies, and when we picked her up and brought her inside she started panting and didnt stop for an hour. We put her outside and she isnt panting anymore, but is still acting sickly. Right now she is sitting in the playhouse with a few of her friends.
Her poop is really tiny and runny, she is drinking a little bit, and we got her to eat a few bites of bread (quite easily in fact XD), but havent tried to give her any chicken food. Beyond not moving hardly at all, she looks perfect. Bright eyes, red (maybe a touch pale) comb, clean feathers, etc. We gave her some water via syringe while she was in the house. She is the only bird acting sick.
I suspect internal laying/eyp, but heck, ive seen six chicxkens die from that, so its become my auto assumption :/

Thanks in advance
