Lacing gets better with age. I had Silver and Gold Laced Wyandottes and they changed over time, hatchery stock though they were. Wish they'd had better genetics. I liked those girls a lot.
Mattress Report: So far, no more hip pain at all. Very comfortable. Tom even sleeps on it (until the cat realizes he's not in the LR and starts yowling for Daddy )
I like it. Hope it lasts for at least 10 years so I don't have to spend another chunk of change so soon. The nightstand is still on back order, sigh. No rush, I suppose. And I still have the big dresser/mirror/nightstand I'm trying to sell. Need that gone. I'm about to ask if anyone in the family needs it and give it to them.
On the lacing - I'm told they'll look totally different as adults so I'm looking forward to seeing how the dark ones turn out. I also like the lighter girl the best. Real "yard candy"
And the personalities are so laid back. Depending on how they do for egg production, etc., I may just have to get myself a rooster next year and hatch some kiddos.
Working on several projects today. I'm close to burnout on quilt projects, I think. I have this tote in progress, fairly large and deep. Hope I can figure out the instructions the rest of the way on it.
And a simple table runner to coordinate with the Autumn Roosters throw quilt, pieced and ready to baste for quilting.
