The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

To Tokyo is about 13 hours, then 3 hours to Seoul. It's a loooooong plane ride. Ick.

I moved Maretta to Zane's cage and gave her four eggs, three BRs from Atlas's coop and one of Sammie Jo's. She's going to kill herself and I can't throw her off the nest in this weather so best she reach a logical conclusion. Her chicks will be due March 12 with Aimee's due the day before, though the bantams will possibly start hatching late day 19.

This shows you guys how much of a life I have, spending my days on here and with the birds.

Holm I'm with ya on that. I have never flown and get the heebie jeebies when anyone I know does.

I have flown a handful of times, the last time was in 2000, b4 all the craziness with the TSA security stuff after 9-11. I HATE FLYING. I hate the sound. I hate the feel. I get nauseous. It's terrible. I'd rather drive a week than fly for four hours to get cross country.

Sounds like a good life to me. :)

My husband has been doing the working overseas thing for 7.5 years now and he has some crazy stories about his time spent on planes and in airports.

My son is stuck in Tokyo. It's Chinese New Year or some such festival, all flights are full, and he's on standby. But, I guess they put him in a hotel, TWO HOURS from the airport. He's bleary eyed with exhaustion and he may lose his new job, which includes the apt, if he doesn't make it to Seoul by Monday. Nothing I can do to help and nothing he can do to make it happen. He took out flight insurance so he may be able to make a claim, but the Koreans are "no excuse" kind of folks so he may just get fired though it was not his fault, other than taking a week to go to the states to see his 94 yr old grandfather for the first time in two years.
