The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Well. I think one of the babies got left outside by Mom last night, and died overnight. Or for some other reason. Found it in the pen this am. Everyone else looks fine - maybe just inexperienced mom thing. Tonight I will make sure everyone is inside!

Oh that's too bad, sorry. Some moms need more supervision than others.

Oh, darn! I'm so sorry. Poor little one. I guess it happens. Moms can't always count, right?

So sorry you lost one. Yes, please do a head count from now on.

I guess I'll still have to be a mother hen :D

Yeah, sometimes you just have to step in and help. Lizzie is on Day 10 with her three Hector/Jill eggs, though technically one is Day 9.

She's doing good. If you recall she had liquid poop for a long, long time, even after worming and after weeks of probiotics. For the first week of broodiness, her poop was pretty solid, a nice change, but now, it's back to complete liquid. I mostly give broodies the 13-way scratch to keep their poop solid, but it's not helping her. Mystery.
