 What do you mean? That is not true. Never heard anyone make that statement. They are pure. No, they are not hybrids. Blue Rocks were introduced into the Standard of Perfection in the 1920's. When you breed two blues, you get blue, black and splash chicks, naturally.

A splash is genetically black with the addition of TWO blue genes. So black IS the true color. Someone is confusing you.They are definitely not hybrids.
