Haha, men can be such babies. A month ago I had been sick for about a week, dealing with kids sick the whole week, and have a nursing baby who wakes up 2-3 times a night. Then my husband got it. Guess who stayed in bed all day and who got her sick butt up and took care of everything? Oh and when he got a vasectomy I just rolled my eyes a lot (behind his back while he again spent all day in bed or on the couch) because I've had 8 kids- 2 csections, 2 with epidural and 4 completely unmedicated. I have very little sympathy for his minor pains lol.

I didn't quite know what trolling was until I read through my watched threads, now I understand it. People who talk religious stuff should be nicer, but they tend to be arrogant in my experiences. Hopefully I haven't offended anymore by saying that, but I said it.

I have not even looked since Pyxis posted her reply to the OP. They are insanely defensive to the point of discounting ANY common sense or logic or even scientific tests. That makes them religious zealots about this subject. And it's CHICKEN FEED, PEOPLE!

And it's not even religion itself (I am a person of faith myself), but religious adherence to a chicken feeding practice that is not what they say it is and is hardly worth fighting for and being a horse's patoot about, plus they're the blind leading the blind. It's still CHICKENS. Why are they being such JERKS over this?

Aside from the dangers of it, I put it in the Yuppie Chicken Keeping category, folks who have way too much time on their hands and look for more labor intensive and fussy ways to feed their flocks. I'm looking for ways to work smarter, not harder. This ain't it.


I got this comment on one of my FF videos from a lady who is one smart cookie. She is all about natural anything...as long as it works, a common sense kind of person. This was her comment:

LOL, "messy slop", yup, not making messy slop. It reminds me of the way my grandfather saved up food for the pigs. He had a 5 gallon bucket in the pantry. All scraps went into it, liquid and solid, had a wooden plank over it. It sat until full and then, he slopped the pigs with it. I know not the same exact thing, but that's what it reminded me of from my childhood. He did NOT slop the chickens! He bought laying mash and they gleaned from the feed the mules and cattle ate.
